Alumni
Since our association was founded, thousands of people have exchanged ideas and got involved in projects. Are you one of them? Here you will find all the important information you need to participate in the future! The ‘Verein zur Förderung des Europäischen Jugendparlaments e.V.’ (Association for the Promotion of the European Youth Parliament) was entered in the register of associations on 13 December 1990 and renamed ‘Europäisches Jugendparlament in Deutschland e.V.’ (European Youth Parliament in Germany) with effect from 26 June 1996. For over 35 years, the association has been looking back on its history together with friends and interested parties and is delighted to welcome new people to its alumni network. We cordially invite you to join our alumni mailing list or our Facebook group “EYP Deutschland Alumni”!

How can I stay in touch?
The recently established alumni mailing list (alumni@eyp.de) shares interesting news specifically for our more experienced, less active association members. This not only keeps you up to date with what’s going on in our association, but also allows you to participate in regional social evenings with old friends and exciting contacts from the professional world.
In addition to this mailing list, we can also warmly recommend our EYP Alumni Facebook group and the international European Youth Parliament Alumni website. There is also a LinkedIn alumni group that keeps international EYP members in touch.
As you can see, there’s no reason to part ways with us! Stay in touch with your network, learn new things and feel free to give back some of your wisdom to the association. We are delighted to have you on board!
What opportunities does the association offer alumni?
Do you work in an industry that fits well with a session topic at our events and would like to contribute your expertise? Then sign up for the alumni mailing list to receive information about upcoming events, session topics and venues!
Informal alumni meetings have already been held in 16 cities (including Washington D.C., Moscow and London). Information about the next “Happy Hours” in German cities can be found in the alumni mailing list.
As a former EYP member, you are more experienced in life than most association members and share a number of interests (e.g. Europe, politics, educational work). If you would like to share your knowledge and experience – e.g. in organising events – you can get involved as a mentor. The programme is not limited to NSP events: it is also helpful to support board meetings or individual positions.
Even years after your active membership in the association, you surely still have fond memories of our meetings. We would therefore be delighted if you would share these impressions with your friends and acquaintances. You could do this by reactivating your (former) EYP circle of friends and meeting up again at alumni gatherings. You could do this by putting our association in touch with sponsors. You could do this by telling young people in your circle about the great opportunities our association has to offer.
You are (presumably) now working and therefore have direct insight into the world of work. These impressions are valuable for younger members who are still at the very beginning of their professional careers. Information about internship vacancies in your company and application advice are also very welcome. Please feel free to forward any job advertisements to buero@eyp.de. We will then present them to interested association members in our Opportunities mailing list.
