Understanding Europe

In the context of the project Understanding Europe, which is organised by the nonpartisan Schwarzkopf Foundation and the European Youth Parliament in Germany, we warmly welcome teachers from Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg to book EU-crash courses. The aim of these courses is to convey a basic understanding for European politics and encourage young people to actively shape Europe. The participation in all courses is free for schools!

The Trainer Team

The concept for our seminars is based on a peer-education-approach. Young, specially qualified trainers, come to your school in teams to offer the courses.

EU-Crash Courses

The four hour long EU-crash courses are aimed at secondary school and college students in year 10 or above. The courses offer an introduction to European politics. Each course is suitable for up to 25 students and focuses on three core areas:

  • Why does the EU exist? Milestones of European history and motivations
  • Who is the EU? - Actors in the EU
  • You and the EU? - How can I contribute to Europe?

Wir freuen uns, wenn Sie Interesse an dem Kursangebot haben. Bitte melden Sie Ihre Schule bevorzugt online an. Die Trainer*innen kontaktieren Sie dann, um Organisation und Durchführung zu klären.
